About Zubare Khan

I trade gold, forex and index CFDs, sell short-dated option volatility, and build the MetaTrader and TradingView tools published on this site. This page explains who is writing, what I actually do with my own money, and the rules the articles here are written to.

Who I am

My name is Zubare Khan. I am based in India and I trade primarily in Indian Standard Time, which shapes a lot of what gets written here — the Tokyo open lands at a civilised hour for me, the London open lands mid-afternoon, and the New York session runs into my night. Most trading education is written for people in London or New York. This site is written for the clock I actually trade on.

Trading is not my only income, and that matters more to how I trade than any technique I could describe. It is one of several things I do, alongside an automotive workshop business. The practical consequence is that I have never needed a winning week to pay a bill, and I would not trust my own judgement if I did. A trader who needs the market to pay rent on Friday will take the Friday trade whether or not it is there. That pressure is the mechanism behind a large share of retail losses, and no indicator fixes it.

What I actually trade

Three things, in roughly this order of size:

What I do not do: I do not manage anyone else's money, I do not accept deposits, I do not run a signal service you pay for, and I am not licensed or registered as a financial adviser anywhere. If you ever see an account claiming to trade on your behalf using my name, it is not me.

What I build

Every indicator and expert advisor published on this site is something I wrote and ran on my own accounts first. That includes MQL5 expert advisors for MetaTrader 5, on-chart execution panels, and Pine Script indicators for TradingView. They exist because I wanted them, not because there was a gap in a product line.

This is also why the writing here about algorithmic trading is unusually pessimistic. Having built these things and watched them fail in ways I did not predict, I have little patience for the way EAs are marketed. The articles on grid strategies and backtesting are the ones I would have wanted to read before I lost money learning them.

How the articles here are written

A few rules I hold myself to, so you know what you are reading:

How this site makes money

Two ways, both disclosed in full on the risk and affiliate disclaimer page.

Some broker links are affiliate links, which means a broker may pay me a share of spread or a rebate per lot if you open an account through one and trade. Second, the site displays advertising served by Google, which I do not select.

I would rather tell you plainly that I earn more when readers trade more, and let you weigh what you read here accordingly, than pretend the incentive is not there. That is also why the risk writing on this site is blunter than the genre usually is — the honest version of the incentive is to say clearly that most people who try this lose.

Where else I publish

Live setups, market breakdowns and tool updates go out across a few channels: a Telegram channel for gold and Bitcoin commentary, YouTube walkthroughs of the indicators, and shorter market notes on Instagram and X. The links are in the footer of every page on this site. The articles here are the long-form version — the things that do not fit in a chart screenshot.

Getting in touch

Questions about an article, a correction, a problem with a tool, or a business enquiry all go through the contact page. I read everything, though I am one person and replies are not instant.

One thing I cannot help with: I am not able to tell you whether to take a particular trade, or what to do with a position that has gone against you. Not because I am being difficult, but because I do not know your account, your risk, or your circumstances — and someone who would answer that question for a stranger on the internet is not someone you should be asking.
